Gillette College will spend $1.24 million from state on CDL, non-credit training

With $1.24 million from the Wyoming Innovation Partnership, Gillette Community College District will expand current offerings for non-credit training to industry sectors and start a new commercial driver license program, the college announced this afternoon.
The funding will help the college create a new workforce and community development program to bolster response to Wyoming’s industry training needs as industry standards and expectations in training begin to grow and diversify based on technology development, skillset requirements and employer needs, according to a news release. The college will hire a director of workforce and community development and a CDL program coordinator.
