Restoration work begins on Story trails

Contract work is scheduled to begin on the Story/Penrose Trail 033, North Piney Trail 112 and Stockwell Trail 086 in the Bighorn National Forest in the next few weeks. Closures are not expected but travel delays may occur.
Notice will be shared closer to when the work will occur so visitors can make alternative plans if necessary.
Trail work will include tread reconditioning, stream crossing work, excavation, corridor work such as brush trimming and some hazard tree removal. Blasting has been completed on Story/Penrose Trail 033.
