Mountain and Upper Plains Early Care and Education Facilities Virtual Workshop
13 Dec 2021
Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming
Tuesday, December 14, 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. MDT
Early care and education (ECE) facilities are essential to providing a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children. However, the lack of such facilities—both center- and home-based providers—has constrained the ability of the ECE sector to meet families’ needs in many areas. Most child care providers are small businesses operating on thin margins with limited access to the capital necessary to support expansion or necessary renovations. Fortunately, there are public and private financing and technical resources and cross-sector strategies that can help increase the number of quality facilities.
Join the discussion on Tuesday, December 14, and hear from ECE providers, community development financial institutions (CDFIs), child care facility developers, and public sector leaders about innovative facility initiatives and projects in the Mountain and Upper Plains region. Come share your ideas on how cross-sector partnerships and public policy could improve ECE facility development.
