Lawmakers Review ENDOW Plan

9 Nov 2018
The Economically Needed Diversity Options for Wyoming Committee or ENDOW presented a 20-year plan to the legislature’s Joint Revenue, Business and Economic Development Committee and generally got good support.
The committee moved forward with a key ENDOW recommendation to draft legislation that would create an Economic Diversity Officer in the governor’s office. There was some mild pushback on a proposal to change Wyoming’s tax policy and support for an effort to enhance education for adults.
House Committee Chairman Michael Greear said it’s an ambitious list of proposals that may need to be focused, but he likes the approach.
“I look at the makeup of that committee primarily and their all individual businessmen, entrepreneurs, successful people that care about the state of Wyoming trying to find solutions, trying to give direction to the legislature that this is what the bulk of the citizenry wants, this is where we want to look forward.”
