News

Entrepreneurs and small businesses create the newest products and innovations that strengthen the U.S. economy. This holiday season, Powder River Energy Corporation (PRECorp) wishes to celebrate the importance of these local business leaders throughout northeastern Wyoming.

Entrepreneurs turn their bright ideas into small businesses, which made up 99.9 percent of U.S. businesses in 2021. That’s 32.5 million small businesses in the U.S. alone. It is essential to recognize and patronize them to encourage their success and for others to make their concepts become a reality.

Support Local

Small businesses bring character to their communities, generate new jobs, strengthen the economy and make for unique little adventures with friends and family. Join us in supporting these vital community members by buying in-store and online from local independent retailers, not only this holiday season but throughout 2023. Shopping small can be as easy as grabbing a cup of coffee from a quaint cafe in your hometown or visiting another community in northeastern Wyoming. Whether you are getting a bite to eat at a family-owned restaurant or buying a gift for your friend at a mom-and-pop shop, you are helping to support small businesses and build the national and local economies.

After you’ve met some entrepreneurs in northeastern Wyoming, spread the word about these businesses so more and more people will begin supporting and recommending startups in your area. Go the extra mile, give these independent retailers a good review online and share your interest on social media. Be sure to follow their social media accounts. Give them a shout-out in your posts, stories, and hashtags to show your interest and share their stories with others.
